Comments:

Our Wedding DJ did the following:

Announced the Groom's last name WRONG 3 times (Even after I re-briefed him seconds before the event started)

He announced our dedication song and then continued to play the wrong song and realized 30 seconds later and said "ooops." And then stopped that song to play the right one.

He played the same song twice

Speakers were terrible for a larger event room-guests in the front were not pleased they had to yell.

I called Jones Tones and complained and all he could do was 1st be defensive and say it happens to all dj's at some point in their career and then said sorry, but there is nothing I can do but yell at my DJ. He even said at one point that he already yelled at his DJ for pronouncing the wrong name!  I then found out that one of our other family member's who is going through his company had already called and complained about our wedding. How embarrassing!!

How about offering some kind of refund or not sending an amateur to do an On Center wedding! All he said was, "I appreciate your feedback and I hope you will think of us in the future." Yeah right!  NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Rebuttal from Jones Tones

Please post our rebuttal - The rest of the evening was great. The speakers were perfect for that particular room and they were on stands. It is not the DJ's fault if people are seated in front of where we perform. The planning of a set-up for the room needs to be better by the hall and bride/groom. We run into this all the time - Guests are seated right in front of the DJ and we have to play through them to get to the dance floor. Our DJ kept the dance floor hopping all night, was dressed in a professional suit, was prepared and fun, and ran a beautiful event. We also performed for their cousin two weeks later, who called because they were worried about there name being pronounced correctly - We of course rocked the wedding and their name and got a huge tip from the bride and groom. In fact the bride told me " Thank you sooo much, your company was well above all of our expectations ! Everyone had a great time " I did apologize to this bride and am quite surprised by her comments. Our DJ has been trained by myself for many years, and is an experienced professional. I have used him every weekend for eight years and will continue to do so. We regret the pronunciation of the name and the starting of an incorrect song, but she will not accept our apology.
